In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created,
and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.
— John 1:1-5 NLT
Reading the Bible and applying the Lord’s open-source code to your life removes the barrier to entry into God’s Kingdom (John 3:16 NLT).
You can freely accept Christ’s invitation to admit your sins, accept His forgiveness, and join Him as a child of God (Romans 10:9 NLT).
That’s true freedom (John 8:36 NLT).
Once you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you win in this life and the one to come (1 Corinthians 15:57 NLT). The Lord had your name written in indelible ink onto a page in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 21:27 NLT). No matter what happens, you have God’s assurance of everlasting life with Him (Colossians 1:27 NLT).
You’ve become a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT), and God places within you the Advocate (John 14:26 NLT). This Advocate, the Holy Spirit, guides you to produce the Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23 NLT).
Given this open-source code to freedom, what keeps you from reading the Bible and sharing Christ’s love with others?
