Mark Halperin wrote an article on Fox News because of his concern that we face years of damage from AI (worse than the actual harm caused by social media—hundreds lost!).

Halperin wrote:

Imagine: two hundred aliens land on Earth, with thousands and thousands more of them expected in looming, unstoppable waves.

And imagine, too, that we know some of the aliens are here to help us, to make our planet better, smarter, and more efficient. But we also know that some of the aliens are here to do us harm, perhaps injure us irreparably. What we don’t know is this: which aliens will be good to us, and which will be malevolent?

That is the situation with AI.

The Battle

Boiled down, it’s a battle against ignorance, apathy, and billions fueling the promotion of AI.

For example, watch this video through to the tech expert explaining why even the mainstream media is sounding the alarm, yet people have yet to grasp the danger. Here’s the video and article from NBC News.

You can’t ask people to use discernment with AI if they’re ignorant of the dangers and apathetic about the outcome!

Sadly, too many people fall prey to the falsehoods spread by the billions spent by Big Tech on advertising.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

An example of Big Tech’s influence is the Fox News video about Meta and the amount of money used to push AI into homes around the globe.

    Grant, I saw this same video on ABC World News. What shocked me most was that the outcry seemed to be dismissed by many leading politicians.

    I try to remember that everything is still in God’s control. Do I believe AI will factor into the end times? Absolutely, but I also believe end will come as He has spelled out in His Word. I’m definitely paying attention to how everything is unfolding.

      Foremost, God wins. During the interim, we’re to do what God says is right. That starts with getting all the wisdom we can to know what is right and not.

      With that said, people can dismiss the doomsday rhetoric, but that can’t replace the facts tied to the actual harm caused by AI.

      AI has stolen copyrighted material, killed creative motivation, and destroyed reputations (e.g., AI-driven nudify apps destroying children’s lives). Also, evidence presented in legal actions showed AI has allegedly contributed to the deaths of many individuals.

      With billions in cash and a decided preference for greed and speed over protection and safety, Big Tech typically settles grievances with hefty payments—mere fractions of what they gain from luring more gullible users.

      The FOMO in the AI race will lead to many discussions and distractions. Arguments for and against will rage, and during the interim, people remain mostly unaware of the dangers to children, women, and the mentally vulnerable.

      God gave us free will, and thus, our future comes one choice at a time. That goes hand and glove with his prophecies, as we can read about throughout the Old Testament.

    Sadly, too many will pretend evil does not exist or it’s way over there and can’t touch them, realizing too late they invited it into their home and their mind.

    It’s certainly concerning in the article cited that “a trio of AI researchers at top companies left their jobs over concerns that AI systems could spiral out of control and end humanity.” I truly don’t want to see humans suffer in worldwide, mass scale.

      I appreciate your concern, Priscilla. Not a day goes by that I don’t see more troubling news about AI and social media. It’s complicated. I get that the complexity coupled with the harm causes people not to delve into the issues. What I don’t get is how many ignore the harm, continuing to use AI and social media.
